Thought about giving Batgirl a win just this once, but, well, she doesn’t currently have her own prime time TV show. Sorry Babs!

As always, original artwork for this is available HERE.

Here’s your first look at the cover for CLEOPATRA IN SPACE #3: SECRET OF THE TIME TABLETS! It’ll be out next spring.

This is my favorite book in the series yet. A lot of what the webcomic was leading up to ended up in here plus it wraps up the first story arc of the graphic novels. Really hope a lot of people that were maybe meh on the first two books give this one a shot. At least for closure’s sake. ;)

And of course Books 1 & 2 are still available wherever books are sold.

Orion (and Oliver)

Can never truly know your kid until you draw them I always say! Here’s our new son Orion Flynn at about a week-and-a-half-days-old. And for comparison fun, Oliver Prime three (going on four) years ago.

HeroesCon 2015

One of my favorite shows of the year is nearly here. HeroesCon is this weekend! And I’ll be there residing in Indie Island once again, this time near the back (table AA-1024). Look at this useful map I made to help you find me!

Click here for the entire floor.

If you are attending, you’ll also have the chance to take home this original Batgirl/Supergirl canvas I painted for the annual art auction (held at the Westin across the street from the convention center). One of a kind! It took a while. Probably won’t do something like it again.

Also Cleo books 1 and 2! New prints! Stickers! A three-year-old! A pregnant wife! Exclamation marks!!! This might also be my last HeroesCon for a couple of years, so I really hope some of you are able to stop by.

Didn’t want to be the only person on the internet who hadn’t drawn Furiosa.

harry_potterhp_hermione01 hp_ron01

Better late than never! Finally drew a Ron and Hermione to go with the Harry Potter I sketched a few years ago.

If you’d like to bid on the originals for any of these, I put them up HERE. Still trying to pay off some vet bills unfortunately.

CBS Supergirl

Fan art of the new CBS Supergirl. Looks like they got the tone of the character just right.

Today is the official release day for Cleopatra in Space #2: The Thief and the Sword (although I’ve been hearing from a few people that they’ve been able to find it a bit early–awesome, guys!). If you preordered it, you’ll probably be getting it soon. If not, here is a handy list of places you can get it. There may even be some within driving and/or teleporting distance from your place of residence.

Barnes & Noble
Diamond (code: FEB15146)
Indie Bound (local book sellers)
Indigo (Canada)
Powell’s Books

I’m incredibly proud of Cleopatra in Space #2. Please help me in sharing its release in places where those things are done. Maybe use the hashtag #CleopatraInSpace so I can see that you’ve done so. Or snap a picture with the book if that is a thing you think might be fun to do. I am personally going to celebrate by starting colors on Book 3. :)

Here’s the entire wrap-around cover for the second book in the CLEOPATRA IN SPACE series, The Thief and the Sword! Really proud of this one. Was able to write/draw a ton of stuff I’ve been eager tell in Cleo’s saga for a while now–sometimes at the sake of my own sanity. The story picks up directly after the events of Target Practice:

When a mysterious thief steals the ancient sword Cleo recovered in CLEOPATRA IN SPACE, BOOK ONE: TARGET PRACTICE, Cleo is determined to get it back, but her teachers at Yasiro Academy forbid her from risking her life. Stuck at school, Cleo is having a hard time adjusting to her newfound popularity and responsibility. And when she learns more about the prophecy that names her the savior of the galaxy and the time tablets that could decide her fate, she must go on a dangerous journey to find them before they can fall into the wrong hands.

CLEOPATRA IN SPACE #2 will be out April 28th, 2015 (the end of this month!). Preorder the book and know you’ve earned a special place in my heart.

Barnes & Noble
Indie Bound (Please support local book sellers!)
Indigo (Canada)
Powell’s Books

And to order from your local comic shop, let them know the book is available through Diamond – code: FEB151466. To find a comic shop near you, visit or call 1-800-COMIC-BOOK.

BONUS! The Thief and the Sword Wallpaper- DOWNLOAD HERE. :D

Was given permission this week to share the illustration I drew for the Reading Rainbow calendar- an incentive from the Kickstarter they ran last year (which raised 5.5 mil!). Was a pretty fun piece to work on.

Page one of the 10 page Sensation Comics Wonder Woman story I drew with story/script by the wonderful Lauren Beukes. It is available NOW digitally! Old skool paper and stapled format drops in April.

Bye, 2014

Started doing this a few years ago: a compiling of some of the stuff I drew–well, drew and posted–in 2014 (there’s quite a bit of stuff I drew that hasn’t been published yet). Looking at the above, 2014 consisted mostly of Batgirl, Supergirl and Cleopatra. Nothing wrong with that!

Stuff to look forward from me in 2015: Cleopatra in Space #2! Short Wonder Woman story in Sensational Comics! Maybe a pinup or two! Maybe another Batgirl/Supergirl comic!

I feel like every Batgirl/Supergirl comic I’ve drawn so far has lead up to this one right here.

Anyhow, Merry Christmas, everyone! I hope everyone is okay if this is the last of these for a while. 2015 is going be a busy, busy year for me.

Oh yeah- and for those interested, I put the original of this up on eBay.

There’s been a sudden onslaught of clamor for them lately, so I’ve decided to offer all of my Batgirl Supergirl prints online for ONE WEEK ONLY. All are professionally printed on 11×14 gloss stock and $10 each. For the first time ever, I’m also offering a special print bundle price of $60 for all eight.

If you’ve been holding out, now is the time to get these! They might be available online again the first weekend after Thanksgiving, but no promises.

I posted this around social media last week but sometimes forget I have readers here who might not follow me elsewhere (at least I think I still have readers here?). Some of you might recall the Goblins Drool, Fairies Rule! all-ages card game I illustrated a couple years back. If not, here are all 40 illustrations I did for it.

Well now, Game-O-Gami and I have teamed up to Kickstart not only an affordable paperback edition of the full-color art book (which was previously only a hardcover exclusive to those who backed the card game), but we’ve hired awesome digital artist Josh Ulrich to ink my pencil sketches for a new coloring book! And he’s done an AMAZING job.

This is my first foray into Kickstarting, and I’d love to see it be a success. So, if you care to, please help share the news! Even better, please support it. Even $1 helps. Would love to see this happen! Link below.

Goblins Drool, Fairies Rule! – Art and Coloring Books

For the same bloke who commissioned this and these.

My favorite comic character is getting a smart new look thanks to Cameron Stewart, Brenden Fletcher, and Bas Tarr! Of course, anyone who’s been following me for at least a year knows how excited I am about a more youthful direction for Babs. Here’s some fan art I drew the day the news broke.

Of course I had to see how Supergirl would react.

For those interested, the original line art for that comic is available HERE.

moby_dickAbout to head out to ALA Vegas in just under an hour. Librarians! I am excited to meet you! I’ll be located in Artist Alley table 2139 Fri-Mon and signing at the Scholastic booth (#0430) Sat from 2-3. I’ll also have the above Moby Dick piece in the auction if that looks like something you’d like to bid on.

Cleo books will be on hand as well as prints and even a few sketchbooks I decided to throw in at the last minute. This is my first ALA so I’m really excited, if also a bit apprehensive. Hoping for a great time!
