mike maihack (pronounced may-hack) is a full-time illustrator and graphic designer with a bfa from the columbus college of art and design.
besides ice cream, his primary passion is comics and in 2002 mike started drawing a webcomic called seed. even with a great love for the characters and a good exercise in drawing a comic rather then reading one, the scope of the story proved to epic to focus on part-time. so seed was eventually abandoned to focus on the weekly adventures of a cow and a buffalo. a slight style departure from the more fantasy oriented seed, cow and buffalo proved to be a fun weekly challenge and in 2006 was invited to join the all-ages webcomic alliance, lunchbox funnies. 2006 was also the year mike decided to start drawing seed again- this time at a more relaxed pace and in full-color on his blog. of course, that didn't last long, and mike has since put a hold on seed to focus on his sci-fi action romp, cleopatra in space. time will tell if we will ever get to read seed chapter three in our lifetime.
mike has drawn other comics too but those were the ones he felt like writing about at the time of this bio.
currently, mike is organizing the christian comic anthology parable, participating in the bi-weekly comics challenge drawergeeks, and spending far too much time browsing the time vacuum we call the internet. you can also often find him hanging around the flight forums or drawingboard as 'mr cow'- the name he's found himself identifying himself as at conventions.
mike lives in the far too humid area of the united states called tampa, fl with a wife named jen and two siamese cats named ash and misty.
