grrring is he
Friday, February 23rd, 2007drawergeeks is a fun one this week. we all had to draw a “grr” face. don’t ask me why, but i drew my favorite little jedi master. still geeking out from last weekend’s comic convention i guess.
megacon sketch
Monday, February 19th, 2007
i didn’t really have a chance to do much sketching at megacon. i was too busy talking to people (and selling books!). but here’s one i managed to work on this weekend. not really sure what it’s all about other then the fact that a lot of the girls walking around in anime outfits might have influenced it.
i had a great time at the con! it was fun meeting some other local artists and some people from the forums. i’ll definitely be back next year. next time, i’ve decided, with some prints in hand- or maybe a sketchbook of some sort. adventures in sandwich making did very well though! for the most part, i was pretty much confined to my table the whole weekend. luckly my wife jen and my good pal matt were there to go wander around and take pictures for me (and watch my table as i quickly scrounged for comic book signatures). matt’s already posted a whole bunch of pictures from the convention on his flikr account here. jen should have hers up sometime later this week.
thanks to everyone that stopped by and said hi. it was a pleasure meeting you. can’t wait to do it again next year!
supergirl
Wednesday, February 14th, 2007this is for the supergirl meme going on right now. not that i really need an excuse to draw supergirl.
this weekend, the 16th-18th, i’ll be in orlando at the megacon convention sharing a table with good friend and fellow cloud tower member matt yokom. cow & buffalo books will be in hand, as well as some other goodies, and i’ll be promoting various other things while i’m there. if you happen to be there, look for us at table yellow-8 or just look for the cloud tower banner and cow & buffalo sign. hope to see you there!
captain marvel
Monday, February 12th, 2007forgot to post this on friday. it was for drawergeeks that day.
i know some people think shazam is actually another name for captain marvel, but it’s actually the name of the wizard that grants billy batson his powers. i thought it would be funny if every now and then shazam played a joke on poor billy.
it’s here!!
Wednesday, February 7th, 2007i published a book! and it’s awesome! here’s my press release:

my hourly comic!
Friday, February 2nd, 2007i did it! twenty pages in seventeen hours. this was also my first foray into doing a journal comic. pretty fun! and a good challenge. jen, being the cool wife that she is, also decide to do one yesterday. it might be fun to compare hers with mine since we cross paths throughout the day. anyhoo, here’s my first hour yesterday. click on the “more” tag (or for my live journal readers, the “cut” tag) to read my whole day.
