One last fan art (for now). Couldn’t move back into full-time graphic novel work without drawing Korra at least once.
Been a while since I drew some fan art simply for the sake of drawing fan art. Here’s Brianne Drouhard ‘s version of Amethyst: Princess of Gemworld, who I’ve been meaning to draw ever since the shorts aired on DC Nation months ago. If you missed them, you can still watch them all on YouTube.
If someone was to ask me who my favorite artist is right now is, I’d tell them Brianne Drouhard. Definitely make sure to check out her website. Girl is a cartooning machine.
From now until 12AM EST today, my Catvengers illustration is on a T-shirt! It’s one of today’s limited edition shirts on ShirtPunch.com. Available in men’s, women’s, AND kid’s sizes! Oliver is totally getting one of these. :D
Also, remember that my July print sale is still going on. 25% off everything in my store (with code JULY2013) with Adventure Time and superhero prints available for a limited time. Sale ends Monday night. Happy July!
For one week only! Superhero (including my Batgirl/Supergirl comics) and Adventure Time prints are back in my store! These are normally only available at conventions.
Make sure to enter code JULY2013 during checkout to get 25% off your entire order. Sale ends July 8th, 11:59PM EST. Thank you so much for all of your love and support so far this year!
Here’s the other card I drew for Cryptozoic’s Superman: The Legend Trading Card Set- Lori Lemaris! For those unfamiliar, enjoy this drawing of a mermaid. :)
HeroesCon is once again almost upon us! This year, the show is twice as big and you’ll be able to find me smack dab in the middle of it at Indie Island table AA-1006. As always, here’s a handy map to show you exactly how to get there.
And HERE is a GIANT map of where that is in relation to the entire floor.
I’ll also be on a panel spotlighting Project: Rooftop Saturday at 2PM. Here are the details for that:
What do you get when you take some of the most talented artists in the world and challenge them with redesigning an icon? PROJECT: ROOFTOP, the superhero redesign site, is here at Heroes Con, LIVE! Join Dean Trippe and Vito Delsante, two of the popular site’s editors, and their guests, Ron Salas, Joel Priddy, Mike Maihack, Joel Carroll, Joe Quinones, Ming Doyle, and Dan Govar as they discuss costumes, masks, capes and announce a special challenge open exclusively to HeroesCon attendees!
That’s a lot of awesome (I hope there’s enough chairs). It will also be the first place to see the “super” piece I painted for the annual HeroesCon auction Sat night. So you won’t want to miss it.
Other than that, I’ll just be hanging out at my table. I’ll have a limited amount of Operation Space Cat books as well as some old and new prints. If I look a little sad it’s because this is the first year Jen and Prime won’t be with me and I will miss them. So make sure to stop by and cheer me up by buying stuff. :)

Feels good to end all the character commissions that I took back in January with Damian Wayne and Stephanie Brown (as Batgirl)- two characters I’ve been meaning to draw for forever. Apparently I also seem to enjoy drawing characters annoyed with things atop of their head. Somebody’s about to lose a limb.
I have no idea when I plan on opening up commissions again. Not for a while since I’m about to drown myself in CiS Book 2 production. Best thing to stay informed is simply follow me on any of the various social networks listed on my site.
Character commission for Captain Marvel- of the Carol Danvers variety.
Character commission for Wolverine and Kitty Pryde, my two favorite instructors in the current line of excellent X-books.

Remember five years ago when everyone (and by everyone I mean a few hundred cartoonists) were drawing how they looked as a teen compared to how they look now- or uh.. five years ago? Jen and I do! We took part in the meme during our fifth wedding anniversary. Just a couple of weeks ago we celebrated our tenth and thought it’d be fun to draw us again–now five years later–to see how things might have changed. Results below!

This exercise is loads of fun. I encourage everyone to try it if they haven’t already!
I’ve been getting word that people have started receiving their Goblins Drool, Fairies Rule! card games (and art books!) that I illustrated in the mail, so here are the last ten remaining goblins and fairies I never posted.
For those who missed out on last year’s Kickstarter campaign, the card game, puzzle, and art book are all for sale at the Game Salute website. I’ve been told the art book is a limited print run, so quantities of that are uh… well, limited.
So happy someone choose Toph for a character commission. Lots of fun drawing this. :)
Character commission for Cleo (in space). :)
Character commission for a couple of sky pirates. Had a blast with this one. Even came up with a great story surrounding these two that I’ll likely never have the time to draw.
Draw Me A Robot is a fun blog that spotlights an artist’s hardware and workspace. You are also expected to draw a robot.

Now that it’s almost summer, seems like a good a time as any to put last years Batgirl/Supergirl christmas comic up for bid! (Actually I have a family vacation coming up and we need the extra cash).
Scans of the originals are below and the winner also gets a full-color print of the finished comic. I found the thumbnails for this too, so I’m throwing those in as well. Auction is HERE and ends next Monday at 8PM EST. Good luck!
I did a couple base cards for Cryptozoic’s recent Superman: The Legend set. Here’s one for Kara Kent!
