morning sketches

Another quick little meeting sketch. I always seem to sit there doodling girls in jackets.

Was in a meeting today. Drew this elf.

Not sure what this is. Started out as a simple warm-up doodle, then I decided to throw some color on it.  But mostly the purple color. Maybe I’ll do all the colors someday (but probably not).

It’s been a while since I’ve posted any little female superhero pinups, so here’s a Saturn Girl to end the work week.

I haven’t read Wolverine and the X-Men yet, but I am assuming now that Wolverine is a professor now, he smokes a pipe.

For Jon Morris and Dean Trippe, who feel there should be more drawings of Batman with balloons (although I would have drawn this anyway).

Jen is due any day now.

Quick tribute sketch of Steve Jobs, in his youth, who we all know passed away yesterday due to an ongoing battle with pancreatic cancer. He was 56.

Probably because of the solitary nature of being a cartoonist, I always liked the idea of Jobs toiling away in his garage into the late hours of the night, hunched over a bulky hand-made device that will not only serve to change the world, but solitariness as well.

The above quote comes from a commencement speech Steve Jobs delivered to Stanford University on June 12, 2005.
