the matt yokom takeover: part 4
NOTICE: while i take a brief sabbatical from c&b and other aspects of internet life, my good friend and artist matt yokom is taking over cow & buffalo! i’ll be back sometime in november. -mike
Well, with Mike still on vacation and taking a break from his hectic life of daily blogging and drawing, I will take this time to make lists, a thing Mike does every once in a while on this site. I’ve known Mike for a long time and I still can’t figure out if his love for list making is a hobby or an action that will soon manifest itself into an extreme case of obsessive compulsive disorder. But by reading Cow & Buffalo all these years (and especially the Death Peach Saga) I think I already know the answer! So here’s my list in honor of Mike:
Music:
- Plankeye
- David Crowder Band
- Skillet
- The O.C. Supertones
- Tie: Wallace & Gromit Curse of the Were-Rabbit Score (Julian Nott) & Edward Scissorhands Score (Danny Elfman)
Movies:
- Wallace & Gromit Curse of the Were-Rabbit
- Sword in the Stone
- Braveheart
- The Dark Knight
- Kung Foo Panda
Books:
- The Bible
- “The Art of” any animated movie
- Pilgrim’s Progress
- Parable 1 (coming this December)!!
- The Art of LOTR by Alan Lee & John Howe
Mike Moments:
- Watching the same Spider-man Silly String Web Shooters commercial from our separate rooms and hearing each other yell, “Awesommmmme!” at the exact same time.
- Actually going to Toy’s R’ Us that day to buy them and permanently silly string up the dorm room halls in a ‘no-hold-barred’ duel to the silly-string death. Mike won.
- Mike teaching me how to play racquetball (never played before) and me winning 90% of the time.
- Hanging out with his family whenever they come to Cleveland.
- Driving for donuts and Slurpees at two in the morning listening to Steve Miller Band.
See ya next week! -Matt!

Even Andrew was wearing a chicken on his head, which is strange…
I think I know what’s going to happen, at a certain time all the chickens will turn evil and bite their brains out, that’s where the zombies come in!
Anyway, cool comic!

I forgot to ask, you should put a penguin named Karpolo in to one of your comics.
xD

YES! You have officially done a great job! You’ve drawn Andrew into your saga! I may be partial, but hey, such is life. :) Oh, and I LOVE Alisha, simply because she loves Andrew! :)
Now, we need to talk about your list… Braveheart is not number 1. Sigh, this needs to change. ;) Mike and I have talked about this. I mean, it has something for everyone: it is a love story x 2, action movie, saga, tragedy, military prowless, history, a little comedy, great one liners, great inspirational speeches…. the list goes on and on! ;) Think about it. :)

Karpolo – i had no idea of your love for penguins, maybe next time i get a shot at c&b, a penguin may find its way onto the farm :)
Andrew – yes, yes, the giraffe made an appearance (sigh)…but thats it! haha. less giraffes and more goats! i do love braveheart, it did have everything….but mel gibson is on the annoying list with tom cruise. And thinking more about it, i think i may replace Kung Foo Panda with The 3 Amigos…

Haha buffalo must be feeling like the last sane person (or bovine) on the farm…..or did he get that feeling long ago.
