keath informed me that i already broke my rule about appearing in my own strip- only two weeks after mentioning it. never let it be said that i have a good memory or a particularly strong will. :P
anyhoo- has everyone here heard of a little webcomic called garfield minus garfield? the concept is that by removing garfield from his own strip, the result is a much funnier comic featuring only a completely socially inept jon arbuckle. i tend to be one of those that agrees with this concept.
i wondered if the same would hold true for cow & buffalo. so i took last week’s, according to buffalo, “really lame strip” and gave it the minus treatment. you have three to choose from:
what do you think? do any of those make the strip any funnier? do you have any of your own cow & buffalo minus strips that you’d like to share?

C&B minus Cow is the best, because really what else needs to be said after “We Live In Florida!” It’s just gilding the lily.
And for the record, I like it when you appear in your own strip :)

Lego Star Wars is awesome! I wish I had got it for wii instead of ps3, since I can’t figure out how to go online with that game.

The last two in particular are brilliant– I love the slightly odd pacing removing one of them gives you, and the whimsical ‘is that it?’ feeling….

HAHA! I LOVE Garfield minus Garfield. LOVE IT! I haven’t laughed at Garfield in years, but without the cat, it is HILARIOUS! It truly does emphasize Jon’s dysfunction. I loved your spin on it Mike, simply greatness as always. You know what I don’t like though… C&B minus Andrew…. I’m just sayin’.

The one without Cow is hilarious! I kind of imagined Buffalo saying it like “We live in flore-a-da”. Then just leaves the strip.
And Garfield without Garfield makes Jon look pathetic, especially the first one. :D
