A burning farm house seems as good a place as any to mention two great webcomic sites that have opened their doors recently:

the first is KIDJUTSU- a digital library of comics made specifically for kids. now, i haven’t browsed through every comic (there’s a lot) to vouch that it is 100% safe for ALL kids, but a quick run though gives me reason to believe that its intentions are sound- especially if you are a fan of manga or anime. what i really like about kidjustu is the interface it developed. you can read the first (and only) two chapters of my now ancient fantasy comic SEED on there to see what i mean.

the second is WEBCOMICS.CC- a branch of community comics that posts a list of newly updated family-friendly webcomics every sunday. the selection is wonderful, and i know the guys heading the site well enough to know you aren’t going to find any sort of questionable content on there. it’s definitely a place safe for kids but entertaining enough for adults. hence, the “all-ages.” plus, cow & buffalo is a part of it. good enough for me.

alright- i have a fire to put out…

I bet the pig did it, or the chicken. Most likely the pig since he turned Buffalo to dust with the peach punch…

man, in class we almost had a fire today(some of our glueguns wire was not covered so it started smoking). hmmm i wonder if that also set the barn on fire?

I feel compelled to warn you that before we start on a Cabbie adventure, the resulting awesomeness will be too great for your website to contain. It’s going to go viral and global, or vice versa!

4 any newbies, go type in death peach into the search bar above the journey cow on the left to see what i’m talking about.

Cabbie needs to be careful… certain fires are harder to put out than others. For instance, did you know you shouldn’t put out a grease fire with water. The reason being the water will just spread the grease around. It is best to snuff it out, (with a lid if in a pan), or large amounts of baking soda. Which brings me to my next point… fire only needs 3 things: 1. Fuel to burn 2. Source of energy to get it going (spark, flame, heat, etc.) and 3. An Oxidant (most commonly the oxygen in the air). So, to get to the bottom of our problem, we need to figure out who brought number 2 into this equation… oh… and we should put out the barn. Barn is wood, so water will work. :) Let’s get this taken care of!

Yes, putting water on a grease fire will do more damage because the grease floats and putting water on it can splash it on stuff. Thus said, don’t try it unless your name is Adam Savage or Jamie Heinaman (mythbusters).

I forgot to mention that old barns can be dangerous because they could have old paint that might contain lead. Be careful when scraping off paint, or in Cabbie’s case, make sure it is not an old barn if you have to go put a fire out.
