Thought about giving Batgirl a win just this once, but, well, she doesn’t currently have her own prime time TV show. Sorry Babs!

One of my favorite shows of the year is nearly here. HeroesCon is this weekend! And I’ll be there residing in Indie Island once again, this time near the back (table AA-1024). Look at this useful map I made to help you find me!
If you are attending, you’ll also have the chance to take home this original Batgirl/Supergirl canvas I painted for the annual art auction (held at the Westin across the street from the convention center). One of a kind! It took a while. Probably won’t do something like it again.
Also Cleo books 1 and 2! New prints! Stickers! A three-year-old! A pregnant wife! Exclamation marks!!! This might also be my last HeroesCon for a couple of years, so I really hope some of you are able to stop by.
I feel like every Batgirl/Supergirl comic I’ve drawn so far has lead up to this one right here.
Anyhow, Merry Christmas, everyone! I hope everyone is okay if this is the last of these for a while. 2015 is going be a busy, busy year for me.
Oh yeah- and for those interested, I put the original of this up on eBay.
Happy Give Out Candy Day. :)
For those interested, the original is located HERE.
There’s been a sudden onslaught of clamor for them lately, so I’ve decided to offer all of my Batgirl Supergirl prints online for ONE WEEK ONLY. All are professionally printed on 11×14 gloss stock and $10 each. For the first time ever, I’m also offering a special print bundle price of $60 for all eight.
If you’ve been holding out, now is the time to get these! They might be available online again the first weekend after Thanksgiving, but no promises.
My favorite comic character is getting a smart new look thanks to Cameron Stewart, Brenden Fletcher, and Bas Tarr! Of course, anyone who’s been following me for at least a year knows how excited I am about a more youthful direction for Babs. Here’s some fan art I drew the day the news broke.
Of course I had to see how Supergirl would react.
For those interested, the original line art for that comic is available HERE.
I’m ready for my Red Lantern Supergirl title now, DC.
Original for bid HERE. Full amount is going to help pay for my 7 yr old niece’s dental costs who cracked her front two permanent teeth during a bicycling accident. :(
Merry December holidays everyone!
And as a special Halloween treat, I’m also offering a limited-time preorder for just prints of this along with all of my other BGSG comics. They will only be available HERE in my store until the end of the week.
Now that it’s almost summer, seems like a good a time as any to put last years Batgirl/Supergirl christmas comic up for bid! (Actually I have a family vacation coming up and we need the extra cash).
Scans of the originals are below and the winner also gets a full-color print of the finished comic. I found the thumbnails for this too, so I’m throwing those in as well. Auction is HERE and ends next Monday at 8PM EST. Good luck!
I did a couple base cards for Cryptozoic’s recent Superman: The Legend set. Here’s one for Kara Kent!
Sometimes it’s difficult to tell if Supergirl is the worst superhero or the best…
Anyhow, I hope you all enjoy this little lapse from my self-imposed Batgirl/Supergirl comics retirement to wish you all a Very Merry Christmas! (or Hanukah, or Kwanza, or Festivus, or whatever your winter holiday of choice is). Indulge in all the cookies you want. It is an intricate part of what this time of year is all about.
*Fun Fact! My Killer Croc is totally inspired from my favorite Killer Croc comic of all times, by the great Calamity Jon Morris.
My watercolored piece for the Heroes Con art auction this year. Featuring everyone’s favorite superhero duo (well, mine anyhow). You (or a friend) can bid on it Saturday night!
Heroes Con is this weekend, June 22-24 in Charlotte, NC. I’ll be in Indie Island table AA-530, surrounded by friends, as indicated by this awesome map:
Hope to see you there!
In an effort to be a healthy financial provider for my son, I’ve put the original art for my last two Batgirl/Supergirl comics up for bid on eBay.
I rarely sell original art so this is a good opportunity to get something of mine if you’re interested. Both pages also include a full-color print of the final comic, which I guess is also something of a rarity now that I’m not selling those online any longer.
One last Batgirl/Supergirl comic, as a kind of thank you to everyone for all your wonderful comments, postings, purchases, and everything else this year. I thought about saying “Seasons Greetings” or “Happy Holidays” for those of you who don’t celebrate Christmas, but since I already had the tree and santa elements in there I figured why not just run with it. Plus I think Kara would be filled to the tipping point for this festive time of year. Babs probably wouldn’t NOT have Christmas spirit, but she would also realize that Gotham’s criminal empire doesn’t take the day off either. Just as long as she can get back in time to share a hot cocoa with commissioner dad.
Anyhow, I think this’ll be it for these little Batgirl/Supergirl comics. I feel these sort of one page, costume themed gags have kind of run their course and if I do any more I’d rather draw a longer arc I have in mind. Next year my primary focus is going to be on my own comic, and there are a few exciting happenings with it that are helping me push that focus. Hopefully that will bring along some exciting news to share with you all next year as well. We’ll see.
For now I have a lot of hard work ahead of me so I hope everyone has a very merry, happy December! And I’ll see you all next year. Or on twitter.
